The Best of Anime 2012

The Best of Anime is now on their 2nd year and they're promising it to make it better and better every year!

 

The event was a huge blast! Its been non-stop raining since yesterday but still, the cosplayers, photographers and even con-goers went there and didn't mind the bad weather at all.


The Gosiengfiao Sisters went there on Day 1 for the Ribbon Cutting and Opening Ceremony as well as for their Meet and Greet at the Easy Pha-Max Wheatgrass Booth.


On of their guest was also the International Band from Japan named Uchu Sentai NOIZ. They rocked the stage for 2 nights. Even though I wasn't able to went inside to watch the concert, I could say that the crowd did really enjoyed their performance.

Here's a brief information of the band for those who don't know or aren't familiar that much about NOIZ. Uchuu Sentai Noiz (宇宙戦隊 Noiz) is a visual kei rock band from Japan. They are known for their energetic music, wild cosplay-like outfits, and live shows full of energy and on stage antics. Their music is very eclectic and has many different elements from genres such as punk, pop, metal, hip-hop and electronica in their sound and thus cannot be properly labeled. Some songs tend to not mix all these sounds together and focus on one or two, while other song combine all these elements. There are two singers, Angel Taka (lead) and Masato, whereas for the most part Angel sings in more of a pop friendly voice though occasionally can sound a bit more punk-ish, while Masato tends to sing in harsh/brutal metal vocals and even purely hip-hop/rap style vocals which Angel will sing backup for.

We went there on Day 2. We arrive at SMX at around 4pm and found a parking at around 4:30pm. Imagine even though its raining hard there are too many people that's coming in the event O.O Hubby wasn't in the mood to took some photos (he left it in the car for some reason) that's why we don't have any pics for the event T_T  I kinda regretted it, I should've been the one who took photos while cosplaying if he doesn't feel like it. I was able to grab some photos that I saw on Facebook (of course, I asked permission if I could grab them ;P) Arrrghhh, that guilty feeling >.<
