Wig Tutorial: Basic Slide Cut

A short visual kei arrangement

1. Block and clip/tie off the hair above the ears.

Lightly grasping a bit of hair between your fingers (at the end) cut slowly while sliding your scissors downward.

2. To create more open space at the jawline, deliberately slice-cut in larger strokes on the sides.

3. Gather and gently twist the top portion of the style gently and slice cut in an upward stroke from the center.

twist at random and not too tightly!
4. For the bangs (usually the portion of your wig which is thinner or shorter), comb them flat over the eyes then slice cut from above in downward strokes.

If you cut from the center, the balance will be thrown off.

5. Dispense some hard styling wax into the palm of your hand and rub it evenly across both of your palms. Run your product-covered hands through the wig all over, styling as you go.

6. Use a hard spray to set the wig. Spray all over.

7. Finished!!
Point: Style the wig without any big empty spaces or flat sides for an illusion of extra volume!!
