Posing Tutorial: Music Characters (Vocaloid)

You can change the feel of your photos with just a few small changes!
Here are some poses to help you "feel the music"<3

The vocaloids all share a strong connection to "music". So those dressing as them naturally want to convey the image of "sound" right? Here we'd like to introduce 6 simple prop poses to make your costume come alive! If you're portraying a character related to music these will fit to a tee, so give them a try! They'll work for all sorts of situations.

Hold the mike in your hand and pretend to sing

Take the mike portion of your headset between your fingers and pose as though you're singing. The feeling is much softer with an indirect eye-line.

Just your hand extended forward can capture the feeling of a concert!!
While holding the mike in your hand, extend one open hand forward diagonally at about the level of your shoulder! It gives the impression of a live concert <3

Hold your headset in both hands and let the music move you <3

Extend your fingertips completely, pressing your headset to your ears with both hands. With this pose you'll look as though you're listening to music.

Sit and open your mouth as though singing to oneself to portray artlessness!

This is a sitting pose that should be shot from above. Choose a sitting position that suits your character and pretend to sing to yourself naturally.

You can use CDs as props too!
This is a one-handed cd-pose. Be sure to point the shiny laser-side of the cd toward the camera, okay?

With a bunch of CDs on the floor, you can create a cool "cyber" look

Arrange some CDs on the floor in front of you to create a small-scale cyber setting. Lie down near them for a perfect picture!

Be lively and creative with your hands to make your own special sort of "sound"!
